Beacon Hill/ West End Urban exploration: studio project 1, Fall 2010

I filmed this short video to show the contrasting urban conditions of two adjacent neighbourhoods in downtown Boston: Beacon Hill and West End.

Beacon Hill escaped the comprehensive redevelopment of the 1960's which befell the West End. Both neighbourhoods are cut off from the Charles River, by an earlier intervention of Storrow Drive, built in the 1950's.

This work is for private, academic consumption only.

The music is from "Spiegel im Speigel," the first track on Alina, by Arvo Part, Copyright ECM Records Gmbh 1999; performed by Alexander Malter, Dietmar Schwalke, Sergej Bezrodny.
